The IWD 2025 theme calls for action that can unlock equal rights, power and opportunities for all and a future where no one is left behind. At IVL, the events from 05-07 Mar, 2025 reminded that this is part of our DNA and is truly practiced. A flash mob marked the start of celebrations followed by an online quiz highlighting the social, economic cultural, sports, technical and political achievements of women. The Women Entrepreneur Stalls showcased creativity, selling skills and talent outside work. Our Guest speaker – Ms. Anjali Vinod spoke on styling for all; tips and tricks to enhance one’s personality to rightly fit into the occasion and get the best out of self. Celebrating IWD 2025 with #IVLCares where IVLions were treated to a variety of snacks; cakes with special flavours prepared by specially abled volunteers from the Different Art Centre (Magic Planet, Tvm) was truly touching and meaningful.
On Friday; the men at IVL warmly welcomed their lady colleagues and treated them with roses and sweets and in turn they were appreciated by specially designed IWD cards and sweets. The women connect sessions fostered a deeper engagement and Gift-A-Surprise where women exchanged thoughtful gifts celebrated each other’s strength and support. And the IWD badges were presented by IVL men to appreciate and honour the women colleagues.
