The challenge
Import bonding, procurement, customs filing and MIS reporting were all handled manually, which slowed processing and increased the risk of errors.
Imports had to follow Bangladesh’s bonding procedure, with its own country-specific compliance steps.
The solution
IVL implemented OptiEXIM in SAP S/4HANA with a Bangladesh-specific compliance solution for the bonding procedure on imports.
Export letters of credit are linked to the proforma invoice instead of the sales order, which matches how the business actually works. MIS reports, such as projected landed cost analysis, are generated directly in SAP.
