A global leader in automotive components and mobility solutions, serving major vehicle manufacturers worldwide. In India it operates under MOOWR, the Manufacturing and Other Operations in Warehouse Regulations, 2019, which let a licensed unit import goods into a bonded warehouse and manufacture there with customs duty deferred.
The challenge
The company runs MOOWR units across several group and subsidiary companies in different parts of India. Sales from one MOOWR unit to another, and procurement from other MOOWR units, made the scenarios complex to manage.
Consumption of goods and consumables had to be tracked at every location for inventory and compliance.
The monthly Annexure B return needed accurate data consolidated from all locations, which made timely, compliant reporting hard.
The solution
IVL implemented OptiEXIM’s MOOWR solution in SAP S/4HANA on RISE with SAP. Every movement type is captured, including MOOWR-to-MOOWR sales and procurement from other MOOWR units.
Annexure B is generated from these records automatically, and OptiEXIM reconciles its MOOWR records with SAP to keep the data accurate and compliant.
